When violent acts dominate the news, it can be hard to know how to talk to kids about such tragedies. The instinct for many adults might be to shield children from the scary or upsetting news.
Through the partnership, Pal and Minnesota Children’s Museum have developed “know before you go” digital resources to help families impacted by non-visible disabilities prepare for a trip to the museum.
Since Fall 2021, we’ve packed up and distributed almost 400 free Tinker Kits to organizations around the Twin Cities area – with hundreds more being packed and sent out over the coming months. And the response so far has been overwhelmingly positive!
