Bringing Game On! to Life
Spin the wheel, roll the dice and get ready for this summer’s ultimate family game time. We’re counting down the days until our next special exhibit, Game On!, opens on May 31. This brand-new exhibit, which will make its debut at Minnesota Children’s Museum, brings the fun of gameplay to life in big, bold ways.
These next few weeks before opening will be spent fabricating, painting and assembling the final pieces before the exhibit opens to the public. Here’s a peek at part of that process, as our team recently visited KidZibits (a partner that helps us build high quality exhibits) to check on the status of a few pieces.
The brightly colored Tot Spot is almost ready for assembly.

The exhibit will include both English and Spanish language graphics, as seen on this Tot Spot piece.

A few character cutouts are almost ready for painting. Any guesses on what these friends will be?

When completed, this entry sign will stand at an impressive 8 feet tall. It’s so big that it has to be built as two separate pieces and assembled onsite.

A peek at the inner workings of a wobbly bridge component.

Some exhibit pieces are both functional and decorative, like this entry kiosk that doubles as signage and costume storage.

Handmade candy swirl stepping stones ready for a final coat of paint.

Game On! is set to open on May 31, 2025. Plan your visit now and be one of the very first to explore this brand new exhibit!
