A Summer of Play and Community at Minnesota Children’s Museum
This summer, we’re turning up the fun and playful learning with Game On!, a brand-new exhibit that brings the excitement of gameplay to life like never before.
The fun doesn’t stop at the Special Exhibit Gallery doors. We’re using Game On! as the inspiration for even more playful opportunities throughout the entire museum all summer long. These special events, created with support from 825 Arts, will invite visitors to explore, celebrate and connect.
Each month, we’re hosting a variety of events that bring different themes to life, each one grounded in the vibrant diversity of our community:
June: Pride – We’re celebrating 2SLGBTQIA+ kids and families with playful programs that honor identity, inclusion and love.
July: Rondo – Join us in recognizing the powerful legacy and rich history of St. Paul’s Rondo neighborhood through storytelling and movement.
August: Summer Wrap-Up – We’ll close out the season with a celebration of community and togetherness.

At the heart of our summer programming is a simple belief: Play is a powerful way to connect.
Minnesota Children’s Museum is more than a place to play—it’s a place to learn, to feel seen and to grow with curiosity and compassion. When children see their identities and cultures reflected in the spaces around them, they feel a sense of belonging.
We also believe that diversity, equity and inclusion are integral to fulfilling our mission of sparking children’s learning through play. As a community resource for thousands of families, we are committed to being an inclusive and welcoming place for everyone.
We value diversity: We appreciate all people and embrace the similarities and differences.
We value inclusion: We strive to be welcoming and inclusive in our physical spaces and in everything we do and say.
We value equity: We provide opportunities that help people facing disparities achieve their full potential.
Through this special programming, we’re helping to build a future where every child knows they matter.
