What is the Big Orange Dance Machine?

The Big Orange Dance Machine is a traffic message trailer that’s been converted into an interactive dance experience. Pick your dance and join an animated character in performing the dance.

Who Built It?

A team at Minnesota Children’s Museum created the Big Orange Dance Machine.

Why Did It Get Built?

Why not? Dancing is fun. Play is fun. And play helps. Play sparks joy. Play builds brains and bodies. Play reduces the negative effects of stress.

Where and When Will the Big Orange Dance Machine Show Up?

The dance machine will make appearances at various public spaces across the Twin Cities in 2022. Follow the museum on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook for updates on the dance machine’s schedule.
