Balancing Act

Now – August 22, 2010

Balancing Act provides an active environment designed to engage visitors in experiences that examine the concept of balance. Children, ages 5-12, can try out hands-on and full body experiences with balance-related concepts, learn how their body systems work together to achieve balance, and practice improving their balance.

The Wizard of Oz

Now – September 12, 2010

Visitors will journey through child-size reproductions of memorable sets from the movie such as the sepia-toned Gale Farm, the colorful Land of Oz, the foreboding The Witch’s Castle, and Emerald City before sliding back down the rainbow to St. Paul, because, of course, “There’s no place like home.” Adults and children also will get an up-close look at a museum-quality replica of Dorothy's Ruby Slippers, one of the most recogniznable images from the film. The iconic movie marked its 70th anniversary last year.
